Read carefully and let me know if you have any questions.

This is an important component of the syllabus that I want to have you consider.

Classroom/Field Interactions:
The student and instructor should communicate also in different directions: from instructor to student and student to instructor. These interactions vary depending on the assignment, skill of the student and the availability of resources. Interactions between students is highly encouraged.

When in the field, students should be aware that the instructor or an environmental education provider is noting, pointing out, or explaining information to be used in developing future products. The student is expected to be an active participant and should take notes, photographs, and videos of what they see.

Instructor/Student Phone/Video Conferences provide the best form of two-way interaction. Blackboard Collaborate will be used in a limited fashion. The preferred method is to use video conferencing tools, such as, Google Hangouts, and/or Zoom.us. Preference will be Zoom.us for individual and small group interactions require screen sharing and recording. Google Hangouts provides a quick conferencing tool but is limited to those with Google accounts. Hangouts can be either video/audio or chat.

Consideration will be given in the event that difficulties with technology and connectivity become an issue. The instructor will make a determination if a technology glitch causes an issue that is beyond the ability of the student to resolve.
